Council of Defense-Strategic Studies Reports

Since 1999, the National Institute for Defense Studies (NIDS) has hosted the Council of Defense-Strategic Studies, inviting scholars and experts outside the government. Its aim is to forecast the future global strategic environment and consider the defense strategy of Japan. The discussion of the forum is based upon various aspects including politics, economy, society and culture.
