ANU-NIDS Joint Research Project
Beyond the Hub and Spokes: Australia-Japan Security Cooperation

The Australian National University (ANU) in Canberra and NIDS in Tokyo conducted joint study on security relations between Australia and Japan in 2012-2013. Participating researchers assessed the security environment of the Asia-Pacific and discussed how the two countries can work together to ensure peace, stability and a desirable future development in the region. This publication is a product of contribution by those academics as well as cooperation between the ANU and NIDS, with the aim to promote the public interest in the bilateral security relationship in both Australia and Japan.
